About Our School

The vision to establish a nursing school was conceived by DUK and the HMT. Hence in 1989 the pre nursing was established. When the pre nursing course phased out by the government necessitated the need to establish a nursing training of a certificate level where by in 2008 ELCT/DUK General secretary, HMT, SOLIDARMED including MOH&SW Ulanga District council members to discuss the way forward on the establishment of a technician certificate level. In APR 2009 the SOLIDARMED SUPPORT UNIT under general secretary of DUK. F.Mpendaye accepted the idea of having a nursing school and donated money for infrastructure and train nurses tutors The school was officially started on in October 2009 for technician certificate level in nursing and it started with 40 students 2 males and 38 females.
